With the component sets of the RV-N series, we have, we have developed particularly compact, lightweight and powerful solid shaft gearboxes. They are used wherever high torque performance is required but space is limited. Perfect for robotics!
Incredibly powerful - extremely resilient
The RV-N cycloidal gearboxes owe their compact design to the main bearing with integrated inner ring. The reinforcement of the eccentric shaft bearing results in a very high power density. We have also FEM-optimized all gearbox components and manufacture them using the latest production methods.
With an efficiency of up to 85 %, a shock load capacity of 5 times the rated torque and extreme precision, the eccentric gearboxes in the RV-N series are ideal for a wide range of robotics applications. Here, the robots also benefit from the good load conditions due to the reduced weight and mass inertia. However, the RV-N series is also used in medical technology, machine tools and positioning applications.

RV-2800N: The largest precision gearbox in the world
The RV-2800N has a rated torque of 28,000 Nm, making it the largest precision gearbox in the world. Thanks to its robust and compact design as well as its high precision, this powerhouse can handle even the most demanding applications. The component sets can even move entire vehicles with ease. The XXL gearbox is used wherever large loads need to be positioned with pinpoint accuracy. Areas of application include robotics, automotive engineering, the glass industry, shipbuilding, mining and cranes. A powerful and efficient alternative to hydraulic applications.
